Why sponsor a staff member?
Many people are used to the idea of sponsoring a child, perhaps not so many are used
to the idea of sponsoring a doctor or nurse, or maybe a cook or cleaner. However,
by taking the opportunity to sponsor one of our staff, you not only offer them and
their
families the chance to receive urgently needed money to live, but also provide
them with opportunity to put their skills, and education into practice, and help
save the lives of some of the worlds poorest everyday. 70% of Haitian people are
unemployed, and most of the population live on less than 50p a day, so the chance
of employment is a real blessing and privilege.
All the staff working at the clinic are full of great joy and appreciation for the help people like you are providing. The sponsorship you can offer, ultimately ends up becoming far more than about sponsoring one staff member, but in some way, the patients, and indeed a whole community. Each of our staff play an active role on a daily basis in saving the lives of many people, who without our care, may not ever be able to receive the help they need. However, in order for us to grow and develop, the need for sponsorship is urgent! Our sponsorship scheme provides a real and powerful opportunity for individuals or groups to make a real day to day difference in Haiti.
Sponsorship Details
The great thing about this scheme is that we don't ask for a set sponsorship rate for each individual staff member. We recognise that different people, organistaions, youth groups or churches are able to offer different forms of support, so welcome any donation. Even supporting a staff member with a small monthly donation of a few pounds can make a real difference.
